FIELD TRIP:
*April 29th -- Fieldtrip to Airport Road Intermediate to visit 3rd grade and tour the school. Parents, you may meet us at ARIS and take the tour with your child.
DIBELS testing for our class: Tuesday, May 3rd.
TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK: May 2nd - 6th. See letter send home by our PTA.
*SPIRIT PACK MONEY FOR FIELD DAY DUE BY May 4th!
HONORS DAY: Monday a.m., May 23rd. Time to be announced. You will receive a letter regarding our brunch for that morning. **Brunch will be for parents and students :^)

**READING/SPELLING
Story for this week is "Red, White, and Blue." Read story every night.
Practice Spelling words.... Write words 4 times every night!
DAY ONE - Monday --- Read story at home tonight, and remember to practice Spelling words.
DAY TWO - Tuesday--- Continue to read story and practice Spelling words.
DAY THREE - Wednesday --- Read and prepare for Selection Test tomorrow :^)
DAY FOUR - Thursday --- Reading Selection Online test.
DAY FIVE - Friday --- Spelling and Language Tests
All students are to read AR books at home with an adult, every night!
**LANGUAGE/HANDWRITING
We are learning what quotation marks are and how to use them correctly.
**MATH
Students are measuring using standard units (inches, feet, yards) and metric units (cm, decimeter, meter).
**Fact drill this nine weeks is 100 subtraction facts, 5 minutes. Again, the best out of nine tests will be counted. PLEASE make copies of the one I sent home for practice. It works!
**SOCIAL SCIENCE:
Students are learning about symbols of our country, and what it means to be a patriotic citizen.
