NEWS FOR PARENTS:

***DECEMBER 16th ~~HALF DAY~~ WE WILL RELEASE AT 12:30 P.M.!  Students will not bring bookbags this day.

***Christmas Holidays:  December 19 through January 2nd***

This is the week we've all looked forward to!  Mrs. Boyer's class will have lots of fun coming up...  Read below for a list of activities:

*There will be NO regular lessons this week.  Students will not have weekly Reading, Spelling, or Language tests on Thursday and Friday.  We will enjoy good Christmas literature, such as "An Alabama/Auburn Christmas," "Bubba the Red-Nosed Reindeer," "The Night Before Christmas," and "The Gingerbread Baby."  

*Students will learn to play Christmas music using handbells.  This is always the highlight of our week :o)

*Tuesday, December 13th, is "Mr. Magorium Day!"  You may wear your pajamas with SHOES!  We will watch the Christmas movie and enjoy popcorn with hot chocolate with marshmallows. 

*BREAKFAST WITH SANTA is on Thursday, December 15th at 9:45!

*Our class Christmas Party is after Breakfast with Santa and P.E., which will be around 11:20.  We have planned food for students only... PLEASE send all requested items that morning.  Thank you so much for your help!

I hope each and every one of you and your families have a beautiful, blessed and fun-filled Christmas Season!  Enjoy time together with family members!

Penguin Patch Holiday Shoppe ---- Our class will shop today, December 5th.

Coosada Choir Christmas program is this Tuesday night, December 6th.

NEWS FOR PARENTS:

Thank you, parents, for notebook paper, ink cartridges, and more cleaning supplies!  You are wonderful, and I personally appreciate your help so much.  The best part is seeing the look on your child's face as he or she brings donations to class... It gives them such a feeling of pride to contribute!

Thank you to those of you who have sent paper, and to one parent who sent wipes and disinfectant spray along with a black 901 HP cartridge!  It's so wonderful to ask and receive, especially during these difficult economic times... I appreciate you all very much.

We are still accepting new PTA memberships throughout the year!

Join us for MATH NIGHT on November 8th!  Pizza will be served at 5:30, and Math Games in your child's class begin at 6:00 p.m. Many of you have returned your "YES" form letting us know to plan for you.

**See the letter sent home for each day's activities!

**Costume Parade -- Friday, October 28th!  Please..... NO SCARY COSTUMES! This is a time of fun for children, so we request costume characters that are not frightening to children :^)

NOTE! ***Written questions on the Reading Selection Test will now count as part of the grade, and students will be required to write complete sentences.  The teacher will provide a "sentence starter," and students will complete the sentence.
