NEWS FOR PARENTS:
We have been asked to remind you that car riders MUST be picked up by 3:05 in the afternoon. Children not picked up will be walked into the office and you will need to get them there. Thank you for being prompt!
**Sign and return the bottom of the "Subtraction" letter! We are subtracting two 2-digit numbers this week, with regrouping at the end of this week and the next. The following week will be subtracting 3-digit numbers! Copy the basic facts practice sheet I sent home with the letter. Use the websites I recommended that are on the right side of this page. Practicing at home makes all the difference!
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS!

LESSONS FOR THIS WEEK:
Reading: Story for this week is "Pearl and Wagner." Read this story at home with an adult every night. Also make sure students are reading AR books at home with an adult.
Spelling: Students will practice new words every night! Parents, please give a practice spelling test on Thursday night.
Grammar: We will learn about VERBS, the words that show action in a sentence. Ask, "What did he do?" "What did she do?"
Social Science: Students will learn about Native American cultures for the next two weeks. We are making Buffalo Skin art, and a totem pole. Our focus will be on Southwest, Plains, Northwest, Southeast, and Northeastern Native American groups.
