Students may NOT be dropped off at school until 7:30 a.m. Children must be inside the classroom before 8:00 a.m. Juice and snack money is finished and ready to send up at 7:55 due to first period P.E. this year.
Remember to put your child’s name, “E. Boyer” and lunch number on checks.
Put ALL MONEY in a zip bag or envelope telling what it is for. Thank you to all who are already doing this. It helps SO much :^)
***First PTO meeting is Tuesday night. Please join our PTO!!! We need YOU. Membership is $10.00.
Day One is Tuesday: Family Times and Spelling list is in Apple Binder. Read story at home and write Spelling words three times each. (Use notebook paper in the back of Apple Binder.)
Days Two and Three are Wednesday: Read story at home and write Spelling words.
Day Four is Thursday: Prepare for Reading test tomorrow! We will play Spelling "Sparkle."
Day Five is Friday: Reading, Spelling, Language tests today. We can do this!
Please write Spelling words three times each every night at home! We will check words at school daily. I HIGHLY recommend that parents give their children a practice test every Thursday night. Remember: Words from LAST week will be included in this week's dictation sentences.
**There are two parts to doing homework: Doing the work at home, and returning it in the homework pocket of your Apple Binder.
**LANGUAGE/HANDWRITING
We will learn to identify the subject of a sentence this week. Students are learning to use their best handwriting. We will write our first and last name and the date on our papers. I am so proud of your effort!
**MATH
We will continue learning about odd and even numbers, and will also learn about "doubles." Use addition flash cards, games and computer activities to reinforce addition facts.
**SOCIAL SCIENCE
We will finish learning about urban, suburban, and rural communities, then begin studying "Balancing and Weighing."
