**FIELD DAY is Wednesday, May 30th. Our time will be from 1:10 to 2:15. We need your help, parents! Please volunteer to move from station to station with your child and a group of children. We have been asked to get several parents lined up to help. Thank you!
**Our last day of school is May 31st. We will load cars and buses at 12:30 that day. IF you decide that your child will miss any days at the end of school, or if you would like to have the report card mailed to your home, please send me a note AND a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Report Cards will be available the last day of school.
**REMEMBER to read, read, read this summer! Enjoy time with your families, and don't forget to come see Mrs. Boyer again. I love you all :^)

Classroom Needs: Thank you for supporting us all year long. Here are a few things we need in order to make it to the end of the year, especially during cleanup! Please consider sending these:
**Lysol or Clorox wipes

DIBELS testing was an awesome success! Students, don't quit reading now... Keep it up during the summer, because your goal next August is 90 words per minute. You can do it again!
**HONORS DAY for 2nd grade Blue pod is scheduled for Friday, May 25th. We will have brunch in our room at 10:00, and the Honors Day program in the gym from 11:00 - 11:45. Information regarding our special day came home to you last week. Please send/bring requested food items that morning. You will want to come to brunch first at 10:15, and then move to the gym before 11:00 to get a good seat :^)

GRAMMAR: We will learn to use commas correctly.
MATH: Students are continuing to learn about multiplication facts. We are taking our Quarter Benchmark and Cumulative Review math tests this week!
Continue to work on facts. Best (-) score out of 9 will be counted for a grade. We will practice five minute drill, 100 (+) facts.
SOCIAL SCIENCE: We will begin "Manners of the Heart" this week. Students will learn about caring for others, how to treat friends and family, and what it means to have good manners.
