NEWS FOR PARENTS:
**Many parents are asking me if students have homework at night. Since August we have had Spelling homework every night before the test on Friday, Reading homework every night before the test on Thursday, and Math homework twice each week. Children are supposed to be reading AR books with an adult, too. We have also been working on addition and subtraction facts as well. Yes, we do have homework every night!

Spring Fling games and activities are from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
**April 10th PTA Meeting with BLUE PODS performing (that's us!) Pizza served at 5:30. Meeting begins at 6:00 p.m.
Student of the Week: Noah
Reading:
Story for this week is "One Dark Night." We will talk about sequencing and will predict what might happen next as we read the story. Test will be on Thursday.
SPELLING:
Write words three times each, every night. Practice words from previous week, as these will be used in dictation sentences. Test will be on Friday. *Homework...EVERY night!
GRAMMAR: We are learning about pronouns (he, she, it, we, they) which take the place of nouns.
MATH: Students are collecting data and completing graphs this week. We are learning to read bar graphs, line graphs, and pictographs. We are also learning how to locate points, or ordered pairs, on a graph/grid. Practice basic facts at home!
SOCIAL SCIENCE: For the next two weeks, students will have to opportunity to learn more about the weather around us. You received a letter last Friday about our Water Cycle poster/project. All students must bring a poster by this Friday! No late projects will be accepted.
