*Monday:  Cat in the Hat Theme-- Hat Day-- Wear Dr. Seuss T-Shirts
*Tuesday:  I Am Not Going to Get Up Day - Pajama Day - Guest Readers
                 **Reading Night - Pizza at 5:30 - Reading begins at 6:00 - Bookfair
*Wednesday: Wacky Wednesday - Wacky Clothes Day
*Thursday - Fox in Sox Day - Silly/Mismatched Socks
*Friday - Oh the Thinks You Can Think Day - Dr. Seuss Costume Parade.

***Our parade theme is "Fox in Sox!"  We will wear crazy socks on our hands and feet, with blue jeans and a Dr. Seuss shirt from any year or a red shirt.
**April 9, 2011 - SPRING FLING! 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Vendor Booths available for $25 - contact Patti Foshee if interested. We need LOTS of volunteers!

Student of the Week:  Hailey Whitlock

**READING/SPELLING --- Story for this week, "Firefighters."  Read story every night.
New Spelling list is in apple binder.  Write words 4 times every night!

DAY ONE - Monday --- Read story at home tonight, and remember to practice Spelling words.


DAY TWO - Tuesday--- Continue reading and practicing Spelling words.

DAY THREE - Wednesday --- Prepare for tests tomorrow!

DAY FOUR - Thursday --- Reading Selection Online test.

DAY FIVE - Friday --- Spelling and Language Tests.


All students are to read AR books at home with an adult, every night!


**LANGUAGE/HANDWRITING

We will learn about pronouns this week.

**MATH

Students will continue to learn about geometric shapes -- plane figures and solid figures.


**Fact drill this nine weeks is 50 subtraction facts, 3 minutes. Again, the best out of nine tests will be counted. Practice continues on 100 addition facts in 5 minutes

**SOCIAL SCIENCE:

Our study of different types of weather continues this week. Watch the weather reports on TV, or check http://www.weather.com/.
