Newsletter - September 20 - 24, 2010



**STUDENT OF THE WEEK:  Cooper Moulton

**READING/SPELLING ***PLEASE NOTICE....
Day Four is Monday, 9/20 (Selection Test online)
Day Five is Tuesday, 9/21 (Spelling and Language Tests)
*Unit One Test:  Wednesday through Friday


Next Week:  Day One will be Monday!


**LANGUAGE/HANDWRITING
*We will review commands and exclamations.  Test will be Tuesday, 9/21.
Unit One Language Test will be Wednesday, 9/22.

**MATH
This week we are learning more about differences through 18. Students will practice counting back on a number line, then use doubles to subtract.  Basic Knowledge and Quarter Benchmark Tests will be Wednesday and Thursday.  Continue to work on addition and subtraction facts at home.

**SOCIAL SCIENCE
Students will learn about the differences between urban, suburban, and rural areas.  We are focusing on our own community and what makes it special. We will read "The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse."

*Fall Pictures - September 22

*Important Parent Meeting for our school is Sept. 21st.

*We will see the play, “Peter Pan” in December!  Please send $25.00 attached to the permission form as soon as possible.  Money needs to be turned in by Oct. 11th.
