**READING/SPELLING
Day One - Monday - New story, "Ronald Morgan." Family Times and Spelling pre-test are in the binder.
Day Two - Tuesday - Read story at home and practice Spelling words--- Every night!!
Day Three - Wednesday - Continue to read story with an adult at home.
Day Four - Selection Test online and written questions. ***Written questions will now count as part of the grade, and students will be required to write complete sentences. The teacher will provide a "sentence starter," and students will complete the sentence.
Day Five - Spelling and Language tests.
**LANGUAGE/HANDWRITING
We are learning about proper nouns and how to use them correctly.
**MATH
We will study fact families, skip counting, ordering numbers, odd/even numbers and missing addends.
Continue to work on addition and subtraction facts!
**SOCIAL SCIENCE
Students will learn about contributions of brave Americans such as Abraham Lincoln, George Washington Carver, Helen Keller, Sally Ride, etc. We will also discuss contributions made by our own ancestors. At the end of the week students will choose four brave Americans, write about them in a "Four Square" diagram, then write one complete paragraph using sentences from all four boxes.
