Dear Parents and Students,

We have completed our first semester of second grade!  You have worked very hard, and I'm so proud of you.

I hope that each one of you have a blessed Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!  This is the most precious season of the year...and I know you will enjoy special time making memories with your families.

We will come back to school on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.  I'm looking forward to greeting my students then with refreshed smiles on all of our faces!

October 27, 2014 ~~~~ Parent Letter!

I am sending this message to let you know of some changes taking place this week due to “Red Ribbon Week” and Friday’s Costume Parade.  We will have Reading, Spelling, and Language tests all on Thursday!   Students will be working on all three subjects every day at school.  Please make sure your child practices spelling words every night.  Give a practice test to your child on Wednesday.  Language will continue to be plural and irregular plural nouns.  We are covering these as well during class time.

As for Friday, please remember:  NO SCARY COSTUMES, KNIVES, SWORDS, ETC.  We will begin our parade around 8:15 to 8:30.  Kindergarten starts first, so we will be watching as K and 1st parade through our building.  After we finish the parade, we will enjoy our Special Snack.  ***I have sent notes home to nine parents asking for specific things.  Those of you who did NOT get a note will have the chance to send something for our next treat.

Don’t forget to check our classroom blog for more detailed information!
