**READING/SPELLING ---- Practice Spelling words every night. Absolutely NO capitalization unless it is at the beginning of a sentence. These are 5 points each. Dictation sentences must be written correctly, too.

Day One - Monday: Our new story is "Dear Juno." Read story at home and practice spelling words.

Day Two - Tuesday: Read story at home and practice spelling at least 4 times each.

Day Three - Wednesday: Read story and prepare for Reading and Spelling tests

Day Four - Thursday:  Online and written selection test

Day Five  -  Friday:  Spelling and Language Tests

**LANGUAGE/HANDWRITING

We will learn how to use verbs with singular and plural nouns.

**MATH

This week students will review skills for Chapter 4.  Mid-quarter test will be on Thursday

Students are now practicing subtraction facts each day. Daily timed drill will be 20 problems in one minute.

**Fact drill that counts for a grade this nine weeks is 100 addition facts, 5 minutes. Again, the best out of nine tests will be counted.

**SOCIAL SCIENCE

Students will learn about different Native American groups-- Southwest, Northwest, Plains, Northeast, and Southeast. This week we will enjoy learning all about the Pilgrims--- the clothes they really wore and foods they did or did not eat. It's pretty interesting!
